Forest Research Institute of India-FRI is situated in the north-west center of the city, on the Kaulagarh Road. It is sprawling across an area of 2000 acres. The main attraction of the institute is the building that has been constructed in a Greco Roman colonial style. The building house six museum that is related to forestry that includes museum on social forestry, silyculture, timber, non-wood forest products. Additionally, this place is also a popular picnic spot that houses Botanical Garden. Inside the estate, there is Indira Gandhi Forest Academy that trains probationer officer of Indian Forest Service.
Clock Tower-Clock Tower is situated on the Rajpur Road, and it is one of the noticeable attractions of the destination. It is encircled by the commercial center of the city. It is one of the renowned landmarks of the city that was constructed before the independence by the British. This is a beautiful tourist attraction and this tower has six faces.
In the present times, the clock tower is not functional, but it said that in earlier times the chime of the clock was audible even far away from the commercial center.
Guchu Pani- It is a magnificent spot that lies at the suburban areas of Dehradun, Robbers cave is the best tourist destination. Popularly it is called as Guchhipani or Guchu Pani- a perfect destination to spend the holiday in a pristine destination.

Sahastradhara-Sahastradhara is situated at the distance of around 14 km from the heart of the city, and it is one of popular tourist destination of Dehradun. It simply means thousand fold spring. It is known for the presence of sulphur in the water of the spring. It has a medicinal value. The beauty of the spring is further enhanced by the surrounding caves and Baldi River. The water of the spring is enriched with lime that contributed towards the formation of projecting ridge that eventually takes the shape of a cave. The spring is known for its medicinal properties.
Indian Military Academy-IMA is situated in Dehradun, and it became functional from 1st October 1932. It is located at a distance of around 8km from the main city on Dehradun-Chakrata Road. Initially, it commenced with a batch of 40 cadets. The first commandant of the academy was Brigadier L.P.Collins. Additionally, he was the one who inaugurated the ceremony. In present times, there are several attractions situated within this academy that attracts many travelers like museum, war memorial, shooting demonstration room and 18-holes FRIMS Golf course is some attractions located within the Academy.
Malsi Deer Park-This park is located at a distance of 10 km from the main city of Dehradun, and it is one of the major tourist attraction in the city. It is located on the foothills of Shivalik mountain range, the park is also known by the name of Zoological Garden.
Apart from deers, tourists here can witness beautiful peacocks. Additionally, this reservoir is an abode to Nilgai that is known by the name of Antelope. It is an ideal picnic spot where the park authorities have installed slides for children to play and enjoy.
Mundali-Mundali is situated about 2.5 km from Dharagarh. It is surrounded by green forests. Located 129kms away from the Dehradun district and 36 km away from Chakrata. The remarkable view of snow capped mountains makes you feel wonderful. It is an ideal place for ski professionals.
