It is an ecological hotel with one hundred percent by the family that recently opened in Oberjoch Geissler, Algovia Bavarian. Built entirely of wood without using nails, glue and chemicals, Berghotel Mattlihüs is the only 4 star hotel of its kind in Germany and is the new biological wing of a former hotel tradition.

The project follows closely the principles of Feng Shui, and the trees used to make it were cut in the days of the waning moon, when the roots hold valuable substances that make the wood more resistant to pests and mold. The Berghotel Mattlihüs outer shell of stone pine has the advantage of slowing the heartbeat and provides guests with 12 rooms and suites for a restful sleep.

Strictly ecological also the energy used for the operation of the Berghotel Mattlihüs and the treatment of water and waste; for toilets of the baths, for example, is used rainwater. Not far from Bad Hindelang and the ski slopes, the hotel is surrounded by meadows rich in herbs that are used in cooking. Prices start from 124 euros per person for overnight stay with half board organic.
