Hill Palace Museum
Hill Palace Museum is the Kerala’s first heritage museum and is known for the largest archaeological museum in Kerala. This place is located near Tripunithura, Kochi. This place was built in the year 1865 and is also called as the administrative headquarters during Kochi Rajas.
This palace was built during Dutch era in the year 1744 and is one of the oldest Dutch palaces outside Holland. Bolgatty palace is situated in Bolgatty Island, Kochi. Now this place is converted into a heritage resort of the state.
It is a rural village located near Cochin and it is around 42 kms from Ernakulam town. This place is eminent for the training the elephants and it was established in the year 1950. Because Indian government banned elephant capture, Kodanad has emerged to be a rescue training center for stranded baby elephants and wounded elephants.
This is a man made island created in the year 1933 under the supervision of Sir Robert Bristow. Up till now Cochin airport, railway terminus and sea port were functioning on this island. Now, the Cochin Port Trust and the headquarters of the Southern Naval Command functions here. Airport continues to function as a naval aviation wing. Summers- The summer is warm and dry and the maximum temperature hovers around 37°C. The weather is hot making it too difficult for the outdoor activities.
Monsoon- The monsoon is experienced by heavy rainfalls that interrupts outdoor activities. But the scenic beauty here is worth seeing during the monsoon season.
